NTPC Green Energy Ltd, UP Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited sign MoU

NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL) and Uttar Pradesh Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited (UPRVUNL) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to develop Renewable Energy Parks and Projects and support India’s energy transition.

The partnership aims to establish floating and ground-mounted solar projects in the Rihand reservoir, utilise water bodies and vacant land, and initiate a solar PV project dedicated to solarization in Ayodhya City.

Additionally, the formation of a Joint Venture Company (JVC) will support renewable generation obligations, flexibility in power scheduling, and bundling with renewable energy and energy storage.
